Gung Hey Fat Choy ( Happy New Year!)
We began our celebration of Chinese New Year with stories telling us how Chinese children celebrate New Year. We decided we would like to try some Chinese food so we had noodles and sweet and sour sauce for snack. We ate our snack with chop sticks. It was really tricky at first!
We made Chinese dragons. We heard a story about a Chinese dragon who was made of wood but every year at New Year he came alive at night and flew around the country.Some of us followed instructions to make the dragon and some of us designed our own.
We folded paper to make the bodies.
